Digital Skills @ STRIVE

STRIVE is uniquely positioned to bridge the Digital Divide

We primarily serve those who are less likely to have access to learning foundational digital skills, including individuals from Black and Brown communities. Now that digital skills are necessary to compete and thrive in the workforce, these communities are at an even greater disadvantage. STRIVE will ensure that students can overcome this barrier by incorporating digital skills into every aspect of our signature Career Path program.  We have identified three tiers of knowledge that all students across all training pathways will be able to achieve through Digital Skills@STRIVE.

Mental wellness is essential

Employment is a cornerstone of wellbeing, but for many, entering the workforce is prohibitively difficult. Mental health and wellness remain a fundamental barrier to employment, particularly in communities of color. Poverty worsens mental health, and the resulting mental illness reinforces poverty in a well-documented vicious cycle.

Women's Empowerment Initiative

Women with drive find a road to empowerment at STRIVE

STRIVE recognizes that in order for women living below the poverty line to be successful in the workforce, they may need specialized supports and training programs. STRIVE is committed to delivering intentional programing that specifically addresses the needs of these populations. We prepare women for both traditional and non traditional roles.
