As a national leader in workforce development STRIVE is committed to helping those facing the toughest societal barriers to employment access the training and support needed to build a family-sustaining career.
We work to support the regions and communities of our nation that continue to be systemically disconnected from economic mobility and opportunity, providing a bridge to the gap and a pathway to empowerment.
Who comes to STRIVE?
Since 1984, STRIVE has helped over 85,000 individuals find their path toward economic mobility through the power of good jobs that lead to great careers. Our students come to us ready to work and determined to succeed despite the societal barriers they face.
92% of STRIVE students are BIPOC, 78% receive public services and 41% are parents of minors.
Graduates of STRIVE programming earn LIFETIME ACCESS to NO-COST career support and wraparound services because at STRIVE, we know the road to success is never simple, easy or a straight shot. But no matter what barriers our students and graduates come up against along their path to a career, they can trust that there is a home in STRIVE for upskilling, resume polishing or to access the support, resources and security all people need while navigating employment challenges.
As STRIVE New Orleans grows, additional career pathway programming with proven success for STRIVE students--construction, maintenance, logistics among others--will be offered to provide greater choice, access and opportunity for those facing society’s toughest barriers to quality employment and economic mobility—including the justice impacted and returning citizens.
