Thank you to everyone who has helped STRIVE grow from the basement of an East Harlem housing project in 1984 to the nation's leading solution for people who face the greatest barriers to employment, with over 75,000 graduates from coast to coast. Here's to 35 more years!

At the gala, we proudly presented our new 3-minute video, created in partnership with UM and the Birds Nest Foundation.

Celebrating the Life of Sam Hartwell

STRIVE's co-founder Samuel A. Hartwell passed away on July 11, 2019. Sam brought a passion, persistence, and energy that helped STRIVE begin, grow, and thrive. His dedication and leadership ensured success for our work with 75,000 graduates and their families.

As we celebrate STRIVE's 35th anniversary, we remember Sam. Without him, there would be no STRIVE.
