Quiwintre is a native of Columbia, TN. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in mathematics and biology minor from the University of North Alabama. Destined to serve in a role to motivate others to achieve ultimate success, Quiwintre embarked on the passionate journey of educating youth in 2005 as an 8th grade Algebra I teacher for Birmingham City Schools. She continued her devotion to the sciences as Program Manager for Eureka! Teen Achievement Program and the Teen Leadership Program with Girls Inc. of Central Alabama. She inspired all girls to be strong, smart, and bold while exploring careers in S.T.E.M. In partnership with the Junior League of Birmingham, the Teen Leadership Program provided experiences to help young ladies develop skill sets to navigate college, careers, and life.

As a Manager of Community Partners at Woodlawn High School, she served as an advocate for students and families to benefit from programs and services integrated into the school campus from community partners focusing on eight domains of service: youth development, health, mental health, family support, education, attendance, college/career readiness, and community development.

Quiwintre comes to STRIVE from the Birmingham Education Foundation where she served as the Director of Programming and Operations. The work focused on college, life, and career preparation through skills development conferences, mock interview sessions, paid high school internships providing work based learning experiences, and site visits to corporate partners to explore opportunities in career fields.

Quiwintre has lived in the Birmingham area for 19 years with her husband and three sons. She enjoys traveling and planning travel experiences for others. She spends evenings and weekends at sporting events.
