Dina serves on the Goldman Sachs Management Committee and is responsible for helping to build and enhance the firm's relationships with sovereign clients around the world. She rejoined Goldman Sachs in 2018 as a partner in the Investment Banking Division after serving as the US Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy from 2017 to 2018.

Dina initially joined the firm in 2007 and from 2007 to 2017 led the Impact Investing Business and the Environmental Markets Group, which deployed more than $5 billion in market-based loans and equity to drive sustainable economic development and revitalize underserved communities. During this same period, she was also president of The Goldman Sachs Foundation, overseeing two major initiatives to drive economic growth and opportunity — 10,000 Women and 10,000 Small Businesses — that successfully provided business education and capital to women and small businesses, respectively.

Earlier in her career, Dina served as Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs and Deputy Undersecretary of Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy and as a senior White House advisor as Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel.

Dina is currently a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.



Mitch Landrieu served as the 61st Mayor of New Orleans from 2010-2018, leading the city’s continued recovery from Hurricane Katrina and the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. As Mayor, he put a focus on economic development and creating economic opportunity for New Orleans residents, launching the NOLA Business Alliance and bringing STRIVE to New Orleans in 2015. Mitch served as the President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Prior to his election as mayor, Landrieu also served as lieutenant governor of Louisiana from 2004 to 2010. In 2017, Landrieu gained national prominence for his powerful decision to take down four Confederate monuments, which earned him the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. In his New York Times best-selling book, In the Shadow of Statues, Landrieu recounts his personal journey confronting racism and tackles the broader history of slavery, race relations, and institutional inequalities that still plague America. Mr. Landrieu recently launched the E Pluribus Unum Fund, a social transformation initiative in the south created to fulfill America's promise of justice and opportunity for all by breaking down the barriers that divide us by race and class.

STRIVE’S Women’s Empowerment Initiative

STRIVE’s Women’s Empowerment Initiative addresses the unique needs of women who are in challenging circumstances but are determined to transform their lives. Through STRIVE’s combination of job training and supportive services, they are able to obtain employment to provide for their children, secure stable housing, and gain confidence in their future.

Many women face high barriers to employment, struggling with additional gender-related family and workplace issues as they face poverty, homelessness, insufficient skills training, domestic violence, and long-term unemployment. But empowering women with the opportunities and resources they need gives them the ability not only to provide for themselves, but to set into motion long-term benefits for their families and communities.  Once a woman is securely placed in a living wage job, her housing becomes more stable, her children perform better in school, and her family’s health improves. Your support of the Women’s Empowerment Initiative activates these powerful forces.

More than 250 guests came together for STRIVE Presents: Stand Up For Dads 2018 at Carolines on Broadway. Our comedians delighted the crowd with much more than dad jokes—and between the laughs, guests were inspired by STRIVE mission to raise over $180,000 to support our programs.

STRIVE’s programs develop engaged fathers who support their families through healthy relationships and financial responsibility.  Fathers have the opportunity to re-engage with their children, develop a healthier relationship with their co-parent, serve as role models and become emotional partners in raising their children. In addition, STRIVE helps them gain employment so they can support their families’ economic security. The results are striking - children of engaged fathers are more likely to complete school and escape poverty and are less likely to become involved in risky behavior.
